Throughout July and August, KPMG UK colleagues came together to take part in the KPMG Big Walks for Marie Curie. We are delighted to have raised over £250,000 from this year's Big Walks series which is our last with KPMG. In total over the past 3 years of our partnership, KPMG colleagues have raised a staggering £750,000 through the Big Walks. Thank you to everyone from KPMG who has taken part in a walk ❤️

Last weekend we attended UK Black Pride for the first time! 🎉 Our team had over 400 meaningful conversations, discussing the services we provide and listening to people’s stories. These interactions were not just about information exchange; they were about connecting with the community, understanding their needs, and building trust. What a great event! We're already looking forward to next year. 💛

The Padstow to Rock Swim has now raised an impressive £1 million for Marie Curie. 🎉 Last Friday marked the 13th annual swim and over 300 swimmers took to the water to take part. A big thank you to the swim committee, volunteers, and everyone that has taken part or supported the event over the years. What an incredible achievement! 👏

📢 We are pleased to announce nominations are now open for our second Daffodil Standards Awards. Over 1900 practices from across the UK have signed up and the hard work and dedication of these practices means that the need to deliver excellent end of life care is being recognised. Throughout their stores, depots, and Head Office, AF Blakemore & Son Ltd colleagues will be coming together to fundraise for Marie Curie. This new company-wide partnership is aiming to raise an amazing £250,000 for Marie Curie this year. To launch the partnership, A.F. Blakemore colleagues hosted a Blooming Great Tea Party to raise vital funds for Marie Curie. Thank you! 👏

A big well done to our colleague, Matt, who has completed a 2,200 mile cycling challenge for Marie Curie. 🎉 Matt started in Lands End and visited Wales, the Isle of Man, the Lake District, and Inverness in just two weeks. He said: "This was an incredible personal challenge for me. When I’m cycling, it completely changes my outlook, it takes you so far from everyday life, and you get to switch off from everything. “What’s even better is, I get to raise money for Marie Curie, a charity I’m incredibly proud to say I work for. The care that the doctors, nurses, and healthcare assistants give people in the last weeks, days and hours of life is truly exceptional as well as the support given by our other teams."
