We help seafarers realise their potential, helping them gain new skills and qualifications whether at sea or ashore

About us

We aim to be the first in learning and professional development for seafarers. Our many partnerships enable us to offer tailored learning programmes that support learning and professional development at all levels, right through to postgraduate. We’re also able to deliver distance-learning programmes that are perfect for those who are unable to learn through the more traditional methods. Meanwhile our crew libraries and bookshop support seafarers' welfare and also offer a welcome escape from the pressures of life at sea. https://linktr.ee/MarineSociety

*BOOK OF THE WEEK* Sailing Alone : A History 'An exceptional book. Sailing Alone belongs on the very small shelf of the true classics of the sea' Peter Nichols, author of Sea Change and A Voyage for Madmen'Colourful and inventive' The TimesSailing on a boat by yourself out at sea and out of sight of land can be exhilarating or terrifying, compelling or tedious - sometimes it can be all of these things just in one morning.
