About us
Migrant Help exists to protect people affected by displacement and exploitation, helping them thrive as individuals and recover from their trauma. We support those most in need and least likely to find support elsewhere, whilst aiming to bridge community gaps and bring services and support together. We offer support and guidance to people seeking asylum, refugees and survivors of modern slavery across the UK. Whether someone has fled persecution, escaped from slavery or found themselves in a situation that they do not understand, Migrant Help offers advice, support and a place of safety. We are proud of our diverse and committed staff team. We currently employ people from more than 40 countries. Many of our advisers come from refugee backgrounds and have gone through the asylum process or experienced human trafficking themselves. These dedicated people contribute their skills and experience to help us provide high quality, innovative services that seek to meet the needs of the vulnerable men, women and children we support.

England's triumphant victory over The Netherlands last night was a testament to the power of diversity! The latest campaign from the Migration Museum highlights the indispensable contributions of players from migrant backgrounds like Bellingham, Kane, and Saka. Without migration, only three players—Foden, Stones, and Pickford—would represent England. Let's celebrate the diversity that enriches our national team! #MigrationMatters #Euro2024 #DiverseEngland #ThreeLions

As a charity supporting displaced people for over 60 years, we have closely followed the past government’s plan to relocate people seeking asylum to Rwanda. This plan would have directly impacted many of our clients, and we are overjoyed that the new Prime Minister has fulfilled his promise to scrap it. Many of those we support have fled unimaginable circumstances, and we firmly believe that everyone has the right to live free from fear, harm, violence, and discrimination. We urge the new government to establish safe routes, enabling those in need of sanctuary to live not only free from fear and harm but also with dignity. #RefugeesWelcome #SupportPeopleSeekingAsylum

Following Labour's landlside victory yesterday, we thought it was important to circle back to the recommendations we, alongside numerous other organisations, made to all political parties during the general election. We urge the current government to express a renewed commitment to tackling modern slavery in the UK and around the world, and commit to the following principles to guide their Anti-Slavery Strategy. #GeneralElection #ModernSlavery

Congratulations to Labour for winning the general election. This is a significant moment that reflects the collective voices of many. We hope that this result is a step in the right direction towards supporting and protecting displaced and exploited people in the UK. We therefore urge the incoming government to prioritise the following: - More safe routes for those fleeing war and persecution - The right-to-work for people seeking asylum to benefit their integration into society - Speeding up the decision-making process. - Accommodating all people seeking asylum within the community across the UK in order to support them in starting their new lives here The UK has a proud history of welcoming refugees. Let’s continue to honour that, no-one should be prosecuted for seeking safety. #GeneralElection #RefugeesWelcome #SupportPeopleSeekingAsylum

Yesterday we hosted our annual Building Bridges conference, a day of sharing hope, knowledge, and experience. There is so much passion out there for supporting those in need, and we were touched and inspired by our speakers (some of whom are pictured below: Eid Aljazairli, Yomi Ṣode, and Sophia Blackwell). We look forward to sharing recordings of some of the sessions. #BuildingBridges #RefugeesWelcome #SupportPeopleSeekingAsylum
