Who’s the human intelligence behind Mobilus’ Artificial Intelligence … In this case I’m talking about the one and only, and very much not Artificial,  James Oates. He’s Mobilus’ Lead Software Engineer and the mastermind behind our latest Beta release of the mobiTALK real-time language translation feature. He’s done some amazing work in delivering such an exciting feature in a short amount of time, and it occurs to me we probably don’t talk enough about the “humans behind the machines.” Rather than relying purely on something like GPT-4o, James made some key decisions in making sure that every part of our tech-stack was fit for the purpose of what we were trying to deliver to the end user; the frontline workers who build and maintain our world.  This includes integrations with key platforms such as OpenAI’s Chat GPT, as well as DeepGram, and Amazon Translation and Text-to-Speech.  The result is a signal chain optimized for our real-time use and much easier to control and build upon. As always, our mission is to ensure that teams can collaborate safely and effectively even in the most challenging environments.  James' efforts in demonstrating a practical use for AI tools applied to voice communication allows us to take this mission a step … and many languages … further! Kudos James! "Great minds". We're super excited about the latest OpenAI GPT-4o drop, and their timing couldn't have been more perfect for our own announcements! For us this news reflects something Mobilus Labs has been championing for a while now: a move to delivering real-time, end-to-end, voice first user experiences, or what we call "Conversational Workflows." Today we're excited to announce one of our first AI based Conversational Workflows we've developed into our platform: Real-time multi-language translation across our VoIP based Push-to-Talk application mobiTALK. Our new AI Translation channels allow you to speak into a channel in English and simultaneously your French, Spanish, Portuguese, and Japanese colleagues will all hear you in their respective languages. When each of them respond in those separate languages you hear it in English. All in real-time across our standard hands-free PTT channels. In addition, our latest mobiWAN release ensures that LLMs, like GPT-4o, have the cleanest voice signal possible, even in some of the loudest environments. All together making the end-to-end voice experience have a much higher intelligibility performance and less hallucinations. Watch this space with more news to come!
