About us
A centre of excellence, the National Implementation Service (NIS) provides evidence based training and support for children’s social care, youth offending services, children’s mental health teams and the voluntary sector across the UK to transform the lives of vulnerable children and their families. Based at the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, the NIS provides the following specialist services: 1. Organisational support to develop evidence-based interventions 2. Clinical training for new teams 3. Ongoing training and consultation to teams to ensure model fidelity, which is proven to produce positive outcomes. Established in 2003, the NIS provides the following programmes in the UK: AdOpt, KEEP, MST, RESuLT, TEND, TFCO and FFT – transforming the lives of looked after children, children on the edge of care or custody and their families. Interested in MST? An exciting opportunity has become available within the Nottingham City Council Multi-systemic Therapy Child Abuse and Neglect Team (MST CAN Therapist - Hybrid Worker)! ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: Qualified to post graduate level in relevant field e.g. social work, clinical/forensic psychology, mental health nursing/health specialism or relevant equivalent. Strong understanding and practical experience of the case management process including assessment, analysis, planning, intervention and review and how it promotes good outcomes for children & families Significant experience of working therapeutically with young people and families with multiple problems and challenging behaviours e.g. CBT, SFBT, systemic family therapy or behavioural approaches. At least two years’ experience of delivering effective interventions that support families who have complex, extensive and challenging needs including anti-social behaviour. Opportunities include: Working within an evidenced based treatment model. Access to MST CAN Specific Training, including TF-CBT (trauma focused Cognitive Behaviour Therapy) and PE (prolonged exposure) and quarterly booster training led by MST CAN consultant. Protected case load with weekly case supervision and consultation with MST CAN Supervisor and Consultant.
