About us

A centre of excellence, the National Implementation Service (NIS) provides evidence based training and support for children’s social care, youth offending services, children’s mental health teams and the voluntary sector across the UK to transform the lives of vulnerable children and their families. Based at the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, the NIS provides the following specialist services: 1. Organisational support to develop evidence-based interventions 2. Clinical training for new teams 3. Ongoing training and consultation to teams to ensure model fidelity, which is proven to produce positive outcomes. Established in 2003, the NIS provides the following programmes in the UK: AdOpt, KEEP, MST, RESuLT, TEND, TFCO and FFT – transforming the lives of looked after children, children on the edge of care or custody and their families.
