To reverse this, the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) World Giving Index offers key recommendations: 📌 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬: Ensure fair regulation of civil society organisations, simplify giving with incentives, and uphold the independence of not-for-profits in public discourse. 📌 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬: Invest in infrastructure that supports civil society beyond aid, fund local organisations directly, and help grantees build sustainable domestic support. 📌 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐥 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐎𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: Focus on transparency and good governance to maintain public trust. Align your impact with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and engage local communities in decision-making. 📊 Charity Commission research reveals an interesting trend about charities: 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 📈, 𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐫 𝐧𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐝𝐞𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 📉.
