H1 of 2024 has seen a worrying increase in the number of Malware and IoT attacks 🤖 In a recent report from SonicWall, they revealed that 12.6% of businesses’ revenues were exposed to cyber threats without the appropriate protection in place to defend them. 92% of Britons are worried about having their digital identities stolen 🤖 Recent research from IT company Okta has revealed just how concerned customers are with the state of cybersecurity in the UK and beyond 🔒 56% of Britons admitted to an increased awareness of their digital footprint in the last year, with 33% pointing to the growing number of cyber-attacks as their main concern. 66% of CISOs believe that their budgets have been cut due to AI 🤖 Stats from a recent survey from RiverSafe have revealed that two-thirds of Chief Information Security Officers believe that AI has led to their budgets being cut in efforts by organisations to reduce costs 💷 The survey also found that 59% of CISOs believe that their organisations are underinvesting in cyber security due to the reduced headcount and time allocation that AI can make up for. Organisations such as the National Cyber Security Centre are concerned that these actions will lead to more successful cyber attacks and an over-reliance on machine-generated code and security solutions.
