Bon voyage! 🚚 20 Eutelsat OneWeb satellites have set off on a road trip across the USA from the Airbus U.S. Space & Defense (Florida) factory over to Vandenberg, California, ahead of our LEO Launch #20 with SpaceX – expected no earlier than next month. The trip – which is over 2,500 miles – will be undertaken by 2 trucks, followed by our team’s colourful RV for the journey. A huge thank you to our road-trippers, working to get our satellites to launch. Give the team a wave if you spot them on the road 👋

We're working with Kongsberg Maritime and Telenor Maritime to provide LEO connectivity to an autonomous barge operation 🛳 Reliable, secure connectivity is being provided via the robust Kymeta Corporation u8 Peregrine user terminal. This initiative is not only supporting sustainable shipping but is also paving the way for enhanced remote operations and connectivity. Commenting, Alexandra Kenworthy, Director, Maritime and Energy at Eutelsat OneWeb, said: "We're not just connecting ships with high-speed, low-latency satellite connectivity, we are enabling applications that aggregate huge quantities of real time data, transferring them between vessels and on-shore control centres in a cost effective and reliable way. "Autonomous demonstrations like this shed valuable light on how LEO operations support critical operations at sea." You can find out more about this installation in the video below and on our website via the link in the comments section 👇

Our colleagues at Hughes have now shipped over 5,000 electronically steerable antenna (ESA) terminals to use with our Eutelsat OneWeb LEO service ⚡ The HL1120W terminal is specifically tailored for our LEO constellation, and utilises a phased array antenna with no moving parts; able to support our network speeds of up to 195mbps down and 32mbps up. The ESA allows a seamless transition from one satellite beam to the next every 11 seconds – providing uninterrupted connectivity. Commenting on this milestone, Massimiliano Ladovaz, Chief Operations Officer at Eutelsat Group, said: “We are pleased to work with Hughes as an engineering and distribution partner for the Eutelsat OneWeb service. Our LEO constellation offers customers a high-speed, low-latency global connectivity experience and together with Hughes, we are able to support digital transformations in business and government.”

We are delighted to have signed a partnership with Orbith, Argentina's largest satellite internet service provider 🌎 Through this agreement, Orbith will provide fast and affordable internet connectivity to SMEs and companies; providing private data services, cybersecurity services, traffic prioritization and other critical functionalities in complex corporate projects. Commenting on the agreement, Juan Pablo Cofino, Regional Vice President of the Americas at Eutelsat OneWeb: "Broadband is still out of reach for too many people, especially in rural and remote areas. Lack of access prevents communities from realizing the social, economic, and health benefits that connectivity can offer. "Our network can deliver connectivity services to even the most remote areas, transforming the way people work, learn and live."
