Any excuse for a lunch date 😉 Today we’re talking about the importance of Opendoorz Ltd ‘Insights’, scheduled meetings that take place with other members away from the organised events. Over the 13 years of running Opendoorz, we’ve shown time and again that those members who have more insight meetings get more business referrals and introductions. They don’t have to always be 1-2-1 meetings, they’re also a great opportunity to get a small group together over lunch for example to have a chat, deepen relationships and develop an understanding of how you can support each other 👏🏼 Insights give members an opportunity to explain exactly what it is they do, which is great for all involved. Pretty soon, whenever you’re asked if you know someone who?… you’ll know the exact person to recommend whom you know, like, and most importantly…trust! And while you’re recommending them, they’re doing the same for you! 🥇 Going for gold 🥇 Who else is loving the Olympics? Watching these incredible athletes strive for greatness is truly inspiring. As we cheer them on (from our sofa), we can’t help but see a powerful parallel to the world of networking, or as we prefer to call it… relationship building 🙌 Just like athletes, building strong, meaningful business relationships is not something that happens overnight, it takes time! It’s a marathon, not a sprint as they say! These connections require time, dedication, and a long-term mindset. Athletes train for years before they see the results of their hard work. Similarly, in networking, the relationships we build take time to develop into something truly valuable. It’s so easy to get caught up in the rush of quick wins, but the true power of networking lies in the slow and steady progress.
