You can achieve more than you think. I'm lucky to have an example of this very close to home. Just a few years ago, my brother Charlie Thuillier's fiancé Rose Harvey was a lawyer who enjoyed running. When covid hit and she was made redundant, she decided to focus more on the sport, with a goal to perhaps compete at county standard. Fast forward just three years and Rose is now a professional athlete, sponsored by PUMA Group and selected to represent Team GB in the marathon at the #Paris2024 Olympics. You can tune in from 7am this Sunday 11th August - it looks like a very gruelling course. If you're into running I also recommend Rose's podcast #5MilesEasy - latest episode 33 featuring Spencer Matthews talking about doing 30 marathons in 30 days! Rose is an amazing example of grit and determination (as well as a little bit of talent!) and however she places this Sunday, she continues to be an inspiration to all of us. (And of course, we've been keeping her stocked up with Oppo Brothers Ice Cream | B Corp™ too - especially our latest launch, Refreshed 😋)

Quarter One Round Up 2024! (A tad late, but its summer so we're busy!) OUR BIGGEST QUARTER EVER!!!! 👊 💪 💹 We had a 'Refreshing 💦💦💦💦💦💦 start to the year' with the launch of Oppo Refreshed across Europe, and despite the lack of sunshine ☀ sales have soared! We launched in PLUS Retail and Gopuff. Oppo Dipped launched in Albert Heijn, and went viral, like bonkers, so much so we ran out of stock 😥 Our packaging got a new look & feel, signed off by the boss. We said farewell to Megan Lines (off to work her magic at SURREAL) and Marcel Schol . And a big welcome to the team to James O'Donnell and Lydia Robinson. And we celebrated with a round of crazy golf, picnic in the park and french cricket. Lets be having you Q2, big news to follow.....

Happy 5 year Oppoversary to Hannah & Joe! Our PUN-TASTIC Hannah is everything Social and CRM. The brains behind, and very often the face in front of all our social media content (loving this weeks ‘it’s hot his week’ activation – see link in comments.) And tone of voice for all our communications. She is our Belbin Team Roles (UK - Head Office) ‘Completer Finisher’ – painstaking & conscientious, polishing and perfecting everything she does. The Mary Poppins ☂ of Ice cream, without the spoonful of sugar 🥄 😉 ! And Joe, our very own Jerry Maguire, keeping the cash rolling in 🤑! Joe is our Senior Finance Exec, he makes sure we get paid on time (not particularly glamourous but vitally important in managing our cash flow ). He also approves our expenses so EVERYONE is nice to him. He is our Belbin Team Roles (UK - Head Office) ‘Teamworker’ – Co-operative, perceptive and diplomatic (with a side order of sass). Co-founder of our TooGoodToGo enterprise ensuring none of our delicious ice cream goes to waste. And co-chair of our social committee, keeping us connected in and out of work. That’s now over 50% of the Oppo team who have been here for over 50% of our journey so far 😊 🤘 💪 !! Thanks to Cutter & Squidge for the delicious Yuzu Mango Cake!

We wanted to make our Oppo Brothers Ice Cream | B Corp™ brand design more, well, Oppo. To build on what makes us distinctive and without taking away what people recognise already. Our customers are foodies so we wanted to focus on our indulgent ingredients and craft a fuller looking logo. Big shout out to marketing chief Matthew Sherratt and our designer extraordinaire Joe M. for creating the designs. With packaging being the most crucial form of advertising for FMCG businesses like ours, I went to the sunny Sunne in Sweden to see the first tubs being printed! Great to be working with you Jonas Furtemark, Ingemar Jonsson, Ulrik Fauhlér - thanks for your high standards. The team at OptiPack AB tweaked our deep caramel colour many times to get it just right; attention to detail pays off!

I was sorry to hear about the passing of Kris Hallenga this time last week. Among other things, she was the amazing founder of breast cancer awareness charity, CoppaFeel! One of my personal highlights at Oppo Brothers Ice Cream | B Corp™ has been partnering with the charity after our Mum was diagnosed with breast cancer. Mum's recovery would have been harder had it been spotted any later. So we launched our Raspberry Nipple ice cream (great name thanks to Faisal Al-Sabti in our team at the time!) with 10p from each pink tub sold donated to Coppafeel! Kris’s life mission was that CoppaFeel! would no longer need to exist, with late diagnosis of breast cancer eradicated. Thanks to the team at Coppafeel! who will no doubt achieve this mission as they continue Kris' remarkable legacy.
