Exciting research published today from Dr. Peter Leek’s Lab, our CSO, where our original IP spun out of 7 years ago. This paper explores a more efficient way to characterise the performance of quantum systems. Why this paper grabbed our attention: - This research shows that by making a few smart assumptions, you can save a lot of time and resources while still getting the same quality of information - This new GST method successfully characterises qudit logic gates with comparable accuracy to traditional methods but with reduced time and computational resources - This is a promising tool for characterising qudit-based quantum processors, making it easier to develop and scale quantum computing technologies - This approach could also be particularly useful as quantum processors become more complex Read our TL:DR here👉 https://lnkd.in/e9ZEBM3x #QuantumComputing #QuantumTechnology

Our modern world is increasingly reliant on digital infrastructure with Technology Secretary, Peter Kyle, referring to our data centres today as “the engines of modern life”. Data centres are now being put on an equal footing with water, energy and emergency services systems due to their recent classification as ‘Critical National Infrastructure’. By deploying our quantum devices in data centres, through colocation, we have been able to integrate quantum computers with the modern digital infrastructure paradigm. This supports complete data sovereignty and strives to accelerate the pace at which industries can experiment with quantum computing to harness the potential quantum advantage for real-world applications.
