What is a negative hook? ↳ they're a specific type of headline that uses a negative tone → for example, "stop wasting your time doing [x]," "you're doing [x] wrong" Why do people use negative hooks? ↳ they're a good 'pattern interrupt' because they grab your attention and so you stop scrolling ↳ they take the 2-second-rule (the time it takes to make a decision about staying or moving on to the next piece of content) into consideration ↳ it taps into human psychology by creating curiosity If you're going to use negative hooks: ↳ be mindful of HOW negative you're going - you don't want to insult anyone ↳ balance out the negativity with positivity ↳ and IMO the most important thing - always provide a solution Is this the right approach for you?
