Yesterday afternoon we were delighted to be part of a Masterclass hosted by the Department for Business and Trade and the #ExportAcademy on trade and gender in 2024 to talk about our activities and OWIT in the UK as well as the progress achieved through trade agreements worldwide. 👉 For those of you who missed it, you can see it here: https://lnkd.in/epFkC8hF. The session was a lively and informative discussion where OWIT UK President and OWIT Executive VP Noreen Burroughes Cesareo FRSA first looked at what was happening internationally and then discussed the initiatives in the UK, including BSOs such as OWIT UK. She was joined by OWIT UK members Holly Piggott and Emma Cheetham (Translation) who spoke about their businesses and their exporting activities with countries where the UK has trade agreements, looking at both opportunities and challenges. Melissa Mariano and Livia Di Simone from Department for Business and Trade then presented on how the UK Government is developing and implementing trade policy that advances gender equality and seeks to ensure women can fully access the benefits of trade.
