We rallied. We dallied. We tallied. 🤣 The EV Rally stats are in: Paua powered the rally! 24,145 kWh all on Paua 🏆 The top used network was GRIDSERVE  (too many motorway miles 🔋Colin?) 🏆 The top Paua Rangers were EV Rally support vehicles (good job Paul Riddell, John Curtis 🚗 ⚡️, Sara Sloman, Richard Gooding, Jason Devoto, Holly Baldwin, Ursula Perry) 🏆 Single largest charge session was from the Mercedes-Benz Trucks UK eActros 600 (Daimler Truck UK, James Venables) 🏆 Single longest charge session was from Europcar with the only overnight charge (Darren Cunningham charging at Connected Kerb) Total charge time of 479 hrs (around 8hrs 42 minutes per vehicle over the 7 days that the Paua cards were active). #evcharging #PauaRangers #PauaLeadingTheCharge #netzero #AtoZ #collaboration

The EV Rally gave us an opportunity to see what electric vehicles can do. The Mercedes-Benz Trucks UK eActros 600 certainly turned heads and it was incredible to see up close and personal how it performed on the public network. Paua observed charge sessions in excess of 350kW but this particular curve is very eye-catching. It peaks out at 349.8kW; a Norwich GRIDSERVE site record. The total session ran smoothly for 1hr 40 with 422kWh delievered. Shared load with a parallel charger led to drops in charging speed during the session. The battery cells are based on LFP chemistry and ran at full power until 94% when the load started to drop off. Certainly interesting for the old guidance of "move on at 80%" With a max CCS speed of 400kW (and over 1,000kW on MCS) this truck pulled some serious Paua! Incredible story about the "gruelling" 1,400 mile EV Rally that the Mercedes-Benz Trucks UK eActros 600 completed. Powered by Paua With a charging capability for Megawatt charging (MCS) and a 600kWh battery the truck now meets the needs of many routes. The vehicle towed a standard road trailer at a fully loaded GWV of 40 tonnes. Throughout the rally charging remained a concern for these larger vehicles. Selected locations were able to handle the larger form size and higher charging requirements of these vehicles. We finished the EV Rally 2024! Paua powered 55 commercial vehicles around the country over 1,400 e-miles Cars, vans, trucks, motorcycles. New, used, and pre-production. Paua powered them all! As the official charge card partner we provided the mobile app and card to power the rally. We will publish our numbers soon!
