I’m honoured to be one of the first-ever recipients of the Digital Identity Advancement Foundation Vittorio Bertocci Award! The Vittorio Bertocci Award was established to celebrate the legacy of Vittorio, a reference in the identity community whose passion for standards and charismatic personality inspired many. To be recognized in his name is truly humbling, and I am grateful for being seen as someone dedicated to advancing digital identity standards. My journey with standards began a few years ago with discussions on the initial drafts of the Open Finance Brazil Security Profile. Today, I find myself regularly evaluating RFCs, crafting technical documents and presentations, and educating regulators and financial institutions worldwide on how to enable secure data-sharing schemes. As the Track 1 winner, I will be attending the Internet Identity Workshop Fall 2024 in California, where I look forward to connecting with fellow professionals and continuing to push the boundaries of digital identity. A huge thank you to my incredible team at Raidiam — Ralph Bragg, Barry O'Donohoe, Christian Eloysio, Bernardo Campos, Marie Walker, David Beardmore and many others — whom I have the privilege of working with every day to implement Open X ecosystems around the globe.
