🌟 Celebrating International Day of Charity 🌟 Today, on International Day of Charity, we’re proud to highlight our partnership with the incredible military charity, Little Troopers. As a team made up of military spouses, veterans, and parents at RFS, Little Troopers holds a special place in our hearts. We know firsthand the challenges that come with military life—constant moves, long separations, and the need to be resilient, even when it’s really tough. But it's our little ones who often face the biggest impact, an impact that can go largely un-noticed by the wider world, while families see and feel the true effects daily as they try to support their children through upheavals and adversity. Little Troopers is dedicated to supporting the children of our Armed Forces. Their work ensures that these young, developing minds have the tools and resources they need to thrive, even when life is uncertain. From providing educational support through its Little Troopers at School programme to providing activities and resources you can do at home to keep spirits high and help children better understand their emotions, Little Troopers is there every step of the way. The charity now supports thousands of children each year. Make sure you head to their website to find out about the full range of services and resources they have available. We believe that military families deserve all the support they can get, and Little Troopers is making that possible. If you’d like to join us in supporting this wonderful charity, you can donate, volunteer, or simply spread the word about their amazing work. #LittleTroopers #InternationalDayofCharity #Militaryfamilies #ArmedForcesFamilies

After our pilot group's success, we're seeking businesses to sponsor our Mental Health & Wellbeing programme for military spouses! Want to support the Armed Forces Community and boost your company's social value? This programme offers peer support to help spouses handle deployment challenges and build emotional resilience. 58% of military spouses stated in a recent survey we held that they would have liked the option for more mental health support during their partners career, but were unable to find suitable support available. We saw a need and responded by creating this programme, so we could make a real impact! Healthy relationships and family balance impact wellbeing, productivity, and careers. Supporting military spouses' mental health benefits their serving partners, enhancing overall military community wellness. We are delighted to be working with QinetiQ who are now providing two paid work placements specifically for the Recruit for Spouses community this Autumn. We are looking for individuals with either: • Experience in data and evaluation, or • Experience in the education or charity sector. Each 10-week placement will be paid, and will help you to: • gain experience in working alongside QinetiQ’s Social Value team, and across the wider business; • make new connections, and • learn about how one of the UK’s largest Defence and Security firms operates. “We are delighted to be offering these two work placements alongside Recruit for Spouses. We know first-hand how talented the military community is; that military spouses are hard-working and resilient. However, we also know that military spouses can face challenges due to regular postings, deployments and childcare responsibilities. We want to provide two paid work placements for people to gain experience working in the defence sector, to learn some new skills, and to grow their network. Both placements are designed to be flexible in terms of location and working times to allow people to manage the other responsibilities of military life, and of course, both will be paid.” - Ben Tucker, Social Value Manager Ben Tucker Diana Hawkins Emma Rose B.Julie Cope QinetiQ Heledd Kendrick Ella Cartwright-Terry Kim Williams Rusila Halofaki Cerise Upham Rob Keen (BSc Hons)Helen Callis Joselyn Some Emily Hartshorn Emma Owen Steve Leach Sanjay Gohil Langley Sharp MBE Mel Bradley MBE Esther De La Ford #paidplacements #spouseemployment #oppertunities #britisharemdforces
