“As I enter the final leg of my Master’s degree at Queen Mary University of London , I’m overwhelmed with a sense of gratitude and pride for this incredible journey. 🎓✨ This past year has been transformative in more ways than I could have imagined. QMUL provided me with not just an education, but a nurturing environment that allowed me to rediscover my strengths and regain my footing - both academically and personally. 🎓The last few weeks, while working on my Marketing Consultancy Dissertation, have been nothing short of an emotional rollercoaster. This final project has pushed me to my limits, testing my resilience and determination. There were moments when the pressure felt insurmountable, even bringing me to tears. But it’s in these challenging moments that true growth happens. As I prepare to submit my dissertation and officially complete my Master’s, I can’t help but reflect on how far I’ve come. 💡The challenges I faced as an international student - navigating a new culture, balancing academic pressures, and embracing new experiences; have shaped me in ways that go beyond just my career. They’ve taught me resilience, adaptability, and the value of pushing through when the road gets tough.🥰 This degree isn’t just a qualification - it’s a testament to the growth, the late nights, and the endless cups of coffee that fueled my determination. The support I received from my professors, mentors, and friends has been unwavering, and I’m truly grateful for everyone who stood by me through this journey. To all fellow students navigating their own journeys, especially those far from home - know that every struggle, every late night, and every doubt you face is part of the process. ~ Embrace it, because growth doesn’t happen in comfort zones. 🌱 Here’s to new beginnings and the endless possibilities ahead!✨ #MastersDegree #Dissertation #InternationalStudent #Growth #Resilience #QueenMaryUniversity #Gratitude #NewBeginnings

Following the huge success of the Step Ahead Plus programme last year, I knew I had to apply again this year. The transition to university is a daunting process, and can be very overwhelming, especially for BTEC students. It is no wonder that after a turbulent start to their degree, some of those students choose to drop out. However, Queen Mary School of Business & Management had a solution to this issue - Step Ahead Plus - a week-long programme dedicated to helping BTEC students kickstart their university journey. Seeing the impact that we had on students, the positive feedback that they gave, and as a result, all the amazing places it took us, it strongly motivated me to be a part of it again. Luckily, I was accepted as an intern on the programme and we had our first meeting last week! It was great to see fellow veteran interns, Tosin Olajide and Mosfica Matin on the team again and I was pleased to meet our new team members: Zainab Mahmood, Shenghao Xie, Iasmina Mihalache and aamina K. I am eager to see what we can bring to the table this year and to see if we can top last year’s programme. Thank you to Chandres Tejura for taking charge of the programme and to Monica Mendiratta for returning to support the team this year. #student #university #intern #internship

I can finally say that I am a First Class Business Management Honours Graduate! Achieving this goal is something I’ve worked incredibly hard for, and it’s definitely worth celebrating. The road wasn’t easy- especially considering that at 7 years old, I couldn’t read or write. I attended an underperforming primary school that was under special measures for behavior issues. The school often mixed refugee children who didn’t speak English into the regular classes, which meant that the rest of the class was held back while teachers focused on teaching basic English. Catching up took years. At 9 years old, my parents moved me to a much better school and hired a private teacher to help me improve. I worked my socks off to catch up, and in the end, it was all worth it. My educational journey was like the story of the hare and the tortoise. I started off as the tortoise, slow and struggling, but I kept nudging along and never gave up. Eventually, I crossed the finish line with a First Class Honours degree. I never gave up because how would I know if I could or couldn’t do it if I didn’t give it my best try? I can’t believe this chapter is already over, but I’m excited for the future. I want to thank God, my supportive family, and the excellent teachers at Queen Mary School of Business & Management. Without them, none of this would have been possible.

Marketing Intern at Remitly || Final year Marketing and management student at Queen Mary University

I’m thrilled to share that I’ve graduated with a First-Class Honours in BSc Marketing and Management from Queen Mary University of London. Reaching this milestone has been a dream come true, and it’s hard to believe how quickly it all flew by! This journey has been filled with unforgettable moments, challenging obstacles, and beautiful friendships. I’m incredibly grateful for the numerous opportunities QMUL offered, helping me build invaluable academic connections. I’ve grown both academically and personally through experiences like serving as a Queen Mary School of Business & Management's Student Ambassador, working on consultancy projects, participating in the Clinton Global Initiative University, with special thanks to Evangelos Markopoulos and Fernando Barrio, and being part of an amazing volleyball team. The skills I’ve gained will stay with me throughout my career. I want to sincerely thank everyone who supported me throughout this journey. To the professors who inspired and guided me, and to all my friends for the late-night library sessions and mutual support—you made this journey truly special. Most importantly, I am deeply grateful to my family for the opportunity to study at QMUL and for standing by me through it all—this achievement is as much yours as it is mine! I’m excited to embrace new opportunities, face new challenges, and keep growing. Here’s to applying all I’ve learned in what comes next!

Reflecting on my second semester of the MSc International Marketing at Queen Mary University of London 🎓 After navigating the first semester, I felt more confident and grounded in my area of study. That initial learning curve gave me a solid foundation, and I was eager to dive into the new challenges and opportunities in semester two. ✨ Semester 2 Highlights: With the strong base from semester 1, semester 2 was all about diving deeper into advanced concepts and strategies, expanding both my knowledge and critical thinking skills. 📚 Key Modules in Semester 2: • Sustainability Marketing, Ethics, and CSR • Research Methods for Marketing • Strategic Marketing • Entrepreneurship These modules really pushed me to explore complex topics and sparked new interests, from understanding the role of ethics in marketing to developing strategic frameworks for real-world business scenarios. 🌟 Favorite Class: My absolute favorite module was Sustainability Marketing, Ethics, and CSR taught by our course director, Sayed Elhoushy.
