Today we take a bold and confident step forward - continuing to lead the way in digital maritime transformation. Introducing Pulse, the AI-driven solution for charterers. Sitting on top of your inbox, Pulse shortens the entire market analysis process by consolidating data from multiple systems into one space and displaying it in structured, deduplicated data lists - ready for analysis and further action. With Pulse, charterers can unlock vital data and turn it into a competitive advantage, fixing with confidence and acting before the competition. Our Chief Product Officer Leigh elaborates, “The inbox is a gold mine of data, but the value isn’t being tapped into or is too hard to extract in time to make the best fixtures. By removing noise and presenting data to the charterer in a simpler way, Pulse puts relevant data at their fingertips - making it easy to act on quickly.” It’s time to take the leap and reach new heights of data-driven transformation. Feeling the "post-vacation scaries" thinking about the mountain of emails sitting in your inbox? Or have you had to check them anyways and are not fully able to switch off? You’re not alone. Many global trade professionals know the struggle of managing their communications while on holiday, having to make sure things stay business-as-usual while “OOO”. The secret to truly switching off lies in smart email: 💌 Shared inboxes: While you’re away, team members can manage emails collectively, ensuring no message is missed and helping you relax. 🏷️ Efficient organisation: @Mentions in the comments and advanced tagging surfaces urgent priorities first - so if you do need to step in you can avoid the noise and go straight to the issue. 🔍 Lightning-fast search: Powerful, intelligent search and a central repository simplify finding important information when you’re back. Smart email won’t just transform your team’s efficiency; it can reduce stress and make you even more productive on your first day back. In a recent independent study, 69% of Sedna customers said they worry less about going on holiday because their colleagues can pick up their work seamlessly. At our Leaders Forum a few weeks ago, we discussed the value of an external perspective in process management. Having someone who is emotively detached can help analyse data more effectively, identify improvement gaps, and suggest changes you might not have considered. Embrace an outside view to enhance your processes and drive growth! Thank you to our Technology Partners at Sedna, Kaiko Systems, United Kingdom Hydrographic Office. And a thank you to our association partners at the UK Chamber of Shipping, British Ports Association and Seatrade Maritime club 👏 #ProcessManagement #BusinessGrowth #Efficiency #ExternalPerspective #Innovation #StrategicPlanning #OperationalExcellence #LeadershipForum #ContinuousImprovement

Founder & CEO at Sedna | Fixing maritime communication

Too often, digitization across sectors overlooks a people-first approach to transformation and change management. The maritime industry, however, demands it. I witnessed this principle in action this week during our visit to Chevron’s Singapore office. Their team's adoption of Sedna over just two weeks has been remarkable, largely due to their prioritization of clear outcomes for their people. They built and executed a plan to achieve these goals through Sedna, maintaining focus and driving change throughout the process. Chevron's commitment to strong change management and delivery makes all the difference - and it makes it easier for us to take immediate feedback on where things need tuning. I'm excited to see the impact Sedna will have on the throughput and capacity (especially in terms of time saved) for their busy front-line teams in the coming months, given this incredibly strong start. A special thank you to Kaustubh Vijapure, Samantha Ferleger, Tammy Kefford, Nikos Koukouvitakis, Susie Coppock, Tarun Patel, Bryan Balouchi, Brian Gilliard and the entire project team at Chevron for their dedication and planning towards a strong global rollout of Sedna - an AI-powered enhanced communication standard to organise emails, streamline workflows, and power collaboration - helping reduce waste, eliminate confusion, and save time and resources. Travis Monson, Navia Samugam and I really appreciated the chance to support it and see strong leadership in action first hand by meeting Vikram Puri and his team! Marilyn Lim thanks so much for being willing to show us how you’re working in Sedna! #MaritimeTech #DigitalTransformation #ChangeManagement #SingaporeBusiness #DigitalWorkplace

Just about to set your “Out of Office”? Hold on for a moment 🛑 For global trade teams, traditional OOO replies might not cut it. Delays and missed communications can cost you dearly: 📧 High email volume: Missing crucial emails can lead to lost opportunities and inefficiencies. 😡 Customer frustration: Automated replies can damage relationships and cause dissatisfaction. 🌴 Post-holiday overload: Returning to a full inbox to sift through is not only stressful, but exacerbates the above. So what’s the secret to actually switching off? Switch collaborative, smart email on: 🤝 Shared inboxes: Team members can manage emails collectively, ensuring nothing is missed and projects progress. 📈 Efficient organisation: Advanced filtering and tagging to prioritise important emails automatically. 🔍 Instant search: Powerful search features and a central repository simplify finding information and getting up to speed again quickly. Wallem Group - the leading ship agency in Asia - was our first customer we launched at scale remotely during the challenging early days of the pandemic. Four years on, it's a real pleasure for Travis, Navia and I to catch up with them in person. We learned a lot about how Sedna’s visibility and performance support their business, and where we can better assist them in leveraging the platform to further reduce overall email volumes and manage complexity. This enables their frontline teams to maintain their top-tier focus on customer service. Behind us is the original Wallem logo from 1903. Thanks so much, Dickson Chin (Managing Director of Wallem Ship Agency and fellow LinkedIn fan), for the long-term support and great collaboration alongside Sandy Chan and KF Chan. A special shout out to Glory (not pictured here) for showing us how she works in Sedna day to day. #maritime #shipagency #portagency #wallemgroup

Latest on International Trade Magazine: Ask the expert - Bill Dobie Bill Dobie, Founder and CEO of Sedna reveals how their Pulse AI solution transforms unstructured market data, improving efficiency, decision-making and reducing manual errors for maritime charterers What is Pulse and how does it transform market data from charterers' inboxes into a competitive advantage? Pulse is an innovative AI solution we publicly launched back in February. Initially aimed at maritime charterers, Pulse revolutionises how they get visibility on market data that’s coming from email and other disparate systems. Pulse transforms scattered, unstructured market data into a consolidated, customisable list so it is easier to take informed actions on. By offering a deduplicated and structured view of tonnage and cargo opportunities, we’re making it so much easier for charterers to confidently and quickly make fixtures. If you think of email as the backbone of trade communication - which I believe it is - you can build on it to turn its data into a competitive advantage. That’s exactly what we’ve done. Our Leaders' Forum is an unconference. We have a hard cap on the number of members in the room and strict criteria for attendance. There are no speeches or presentations. Instead, we have a facilitated discussion. Senior leaders across ship owning, ports and chartering to share their biggest challenges and together we find new ways of solving them. This year we have fantastic technology partners including Sedna, UK Hydrographic Office and Kaiko Systems joining the meeting. We have also partnered with some of the UK's leading maritime trade associations including the UK Chamber of Shipping, British Ports Association and the Seatrade Maritime Club to ensure we have a truly inspiring day. Thank you to all of our partners and to everyone who has signed up so far. We can't wait to see you on the 27th of June. We still have a limited number of spots available if you are a senior decision-maker working for a ship owning, port, or chartering organisation. You can apply via this link: https://lnkd.in/gevVFTFS
