Some top tips for first time founders from our very own founder Bill Cogan. 💡 Learn from those ahead of you in the process. It’s rare you can’t find someone who can unlock a problem for you by the end of a quick call or even just by listening to you speak about a problem out loud. Question the source and the applicablity to your own situation but it’s rare (if ever) that the problems you are facing are entirely unique. 💡 Get support earlier than you think. An experienced EA can be an early stage COO if you find the right one. Develop processes for repetitive operations that can delegated ASAP and understand this is not a luxury, it is giving you back several hours a week to drive the business forward (or do anything else). 💡 Consumption vs Production. Produce more than you consume - podcasts, articles etc. are great as you are upskilling but you need a multiple of that time scheduled to deploy learnings effectively across your business or life. Base principles applied consistently trump complex protocols everytime. 💡 If you have a co-founder, make sure you’re both committed to the same vision for the business. If you’re flying solo, build accountability systems (e.g. a coach) to hold you accountable and call you out on your belief systems (BS) as needed. #founders #leadership #startups #scaleups #advice #tech
