Updates

  • We’re excited to be joined by everyone from the S-PA for a post-summer event as we shine a spotlight on the Attercliffe Waterside development. The Citu team will present the ambitious scheme and give an insight into how they plan to deliver around 1,000 new homes as part of one of the most transformational schemes the city has seen. The project has recently achieved planning, with the first phase due to start on-site this autumn. We will also hear from key stakeholders and have the opportunity to view the physical 3D model created as part of the concept design stage. Members can find full details and reserve their spot via the email invite. 🗓 Wednesday 25th September 🕓 4pm - onwards

  • The Grey to Green scheme is thriving this August 💐 Transforming previously tarmacked areas into vibrant public spaces, Grey to Green is an essential part of the environmental strategy developed by Sheffield City Council Designed to improve drainage and capture pollution, the plant beds are helping nature to thrive in the city centre, alongside providing improved cycling and walking routes to better connect the city. The project has already had a significant impact on the area, including from an economic perspective with new office and residential developments in West Bar and Castlegate. With an improved likelihood of new sites coming forward for development, we can't wait to see how the Grey to Green scheme continues to help generate positive change in Sheffield.

Our chair Martin McKervey is also a Civic and Business Commissioner of Sheffield Poverty Truth, so we would love to see our members come along to help promote the voices of people with lived experiences of poverty in our region.
