Did you know we're responsible for the provision, management and maintenance of more than 720 hectares of public parks and green spaces across #StHelens borough? Our parks and grounds maintenance teams do an incredible job, working alongside volunteers group to keep the parks in top condition all year round. We've been celebrating all things parks this week as part of Keep Britain Tidy's #LoveParksWeek - aimed at highlighting the vital role green spaces play in boosting the health and wellbeing of residents and communities.

We're incredibly proud to be able to say that St Helens Borough is home to four Green Flag award winning spaces. Victoria, Taylor and Mesnes parks have all achieved the accreditation - Victoria Park's 10th consecutive win. St Helens Cemetery has also achieved Green Flag accreditation after a submission by long-standing volunteer group the Friends of St Helens Cemetery. Well done to all the council staff and volunteers that care for these green spaces so that visitors and residents alike can enjoy them.
