    🚀 With a long PR career, from a temporary press officer to founding a thriving Comms Consultancy, our founder Laura Oliphant shared her inspiring story with PRmoment 👀   Laura began her career in PR somewhat by chance. After earning a degree in psychology and taking a year off to travel, she secured a temporary position as a press officer.    📸 Despite her limited experience, she was unexpectedly thrown into the deep end when she was promoted to lead a major RSPCA campaign and landed front-page coverage featuring Princess Diana!   This opportunity significantly shaped Laura’s career, and her early challenges in PR have profoundly influenced how she supports new talent at Stand.    🗣️ ‘It’s crazy that experience still shapes how we support graduates and new starters.     ⚙️ The UK FinTech landscape could be in for some interesting changes as the new Labour government begins shaping its policy agenda. With a focus on growth and innovation, Labour’s approach will likely support the sector. There are hopes that new policies could bring valuable opportunities for the industry, including a pledge to scrap short funding cycles for key research and development institutions and to create a new Regulatory Innovation Office to update regulations and ensure the safe development of AI models. 📈 Labour’s promises from their manifesto could help further develop FinTech, a vital industry that continues innovating in banking, payments, cybersecurity and other key sectors.     ☀️Turning heads and making waves, from an emphasis on making connections, to creative activations. Here’s another a round-up of some fun and creative campaigns that have piqued our interest recently. 🤳 Snap Inc. – has continued its ‘less likes, more love’ campaign with creative installations to commemorate international friendship day. With a light and fun approach, and a collaboration with Print Club London, the campaign focuses on self-expression, friendship and making meaningful connections. 🍫 Bel – simple but eye-catching, Babybel has experimented with some creative flair and a half-peeled billboard, evoking the unique feeling of unwrapping a Babybel. This forms part of their ongoing ‘join the goodness campaign’, a playful and creative celebration of the brand.  📱Samsung Electronics – you may have seen news on or adverts for ‘Fold Street’ this summer, this came from a partnership between Samsung and TFL to promote their newest range of flip phones. The campaign saw digital billboards displaying ‘Fold street’ and Old Street station itself temporarily being renamed, adding to a tradition of TFL and brands partnering for activations.
