We just wanted to say a big thank you to #ANDYSMANCLUB for delivering a valuable session to our team throughout our Safety Week this month. Andy’s Man Club is a men’s suicide prevention charity offering free to attend peer to peer support groups across the UK. The session they delivered was focusing on suicide in the construction industry, discussing the topic in detail, alongside the support system available to everyone via the charity. What is happening in the photo? ❓🤔 Our on-site supervisor is helping to cool down his team by cooling their wrists. This is also supported by plenty of hydration and offering shaded areas for breaks and rest. 'You can quickly cool yourself down by putting your hands and feet in cold water. Wrists and ankles have lots of pulse points where blood vessels are close to the skin, so you will cool down more quickly' - British Red Cross. The cooling off routines is taking place across all our London sites and just another example of our site initiatives to help support our own team, alongside encouraging take up across other trade partners. StructureCare were called in to resolve the issues on this roof deck car park, located directly over a Sainsbury’s store. The original mastic asphalt surfacing had reached the end of its’ serviceable life, creating numerous trip hazards and leaks into the store below. Suffice to say, StructureCare were up for the challenge and removed the old surfacing, created a new transition detail to accommodate the change in levels and applied a new lightweight deck coating system, all whilst allowing the store to remain fully operational! www.structurecare.com #CarPark #DeckCoatings #StructuralRepair&Protection
