WEAR THE DAMN SHORTS is back! Last year, we brought you our supercharged shorts campaign for the very first time. And it was epic. When summer hits, getting your legs out can be hard for all sorts of reasons and so this year, we wanted to share your stories to help empower women everywhere to WEAR THE DAMN SHORTS. And whose story inspired us this year's movement? It had to be Danielle Caudill. When she shared her empowering experience trying on shorts in our Bluewater store on TikTok...it went viral. When we thought about who could front this campaign, we knew it had to be women from our sisterhood. So, we reached out on Instagram and held an open casting for women who could never imagine wearing shorts to stand proud with Danielle and empower you to free those knees. And here they are. This summer, we're owning our body hang-ups together. Marks, scars, shape, age; lets find strength in our stories and let's WEAR THE DAMN SHORTS. Side by side. Thigh to thigh. You in? Let’s get more girls into sport 💪 Since 1998, we’ve been on a mission to empower women through fitness and beyond. And that starts with girls. According to The Sweaty Betty Foundation, one of the main barriers girls face when participating in sport is their period, with pain, fear of leaks and feeling self-conscious all contributing to 1.3 million teenagers dropping physical activity. But the Foundation is on a mission to change that, with their aim to empower women and girls from every background to get active, and stay active, for life. Their latest initiative? New Period Workshops in schools across the UK, designed to combat the stigma around periods, fill the knowledge gap and help girls feel more confident exercising on their period. Sweaty Betty X Hertility To celebrate the launch of our hugely anticipated FemTech collection, we joined forces once again with our friends over at Hertility, who kindly hosted an educational session on all things hormonal health followed by a group social organised by our social committee. We learnt so much. For too long being ‘hormonal’ has been a way to cast confusion and shame on women’s bodies. We are proud to partner with Hertility who are reframing the narrative on female hormones and pioneering change. Our hormones are powerful and should be celebrated as the things that allow us to live and create life! Together with Hertility, we're raising the bar for every woman, for any life stage. #FemTech #TheMotherOfAllMovements

In 2023, The Sweaty Betty Foundation created over 2,000 opportunities for girls to get active, supported 14 organisations to give girls the joy of movement, donated 2761 Sweaty Betty Sports bras to reduce the barriers girls face to being active, and spent thousands on grants to empower girls to find activities they love. During Foundation Month, we challenged ourselves to raise as much money as possible so that they can continue their work supporting girls in 2024 to get active, and stay active - for life. Our Design teams assembled and through making handmade scrunchies out of deadstock, they managed to raise £675 for the Foundation. Creativity at it's finest. 🧵
