Congratulations to Ollie Richards, Head of International Property on retaining his position as this year’s leading Property underwriter in the Gracechurch and Insurindex London’s Leading Underwriters Awards 2024. Congratulations also to the Talbot Property team, who were voted third in the team rankings. This report is an independent ranking of underwriters in the London market, voted by other underwriters and brokers.

My time at Talbot Underwriting has been a wonderful and insightful experience due to the amazing people there who have provided different opportunities for me to be able to explore the different sectors the insurance industry has to offer. This experience has provided me with many different skills such as public speaking, presentation and communication due to our project on diversity within the insurance industry. Our points and ideas I felt were listened to and taken into consideration. I especially want to thank Karen Bailey-Bonnet who I have been working closely with and Travers Tarr who have both helped with our presentation. Thank you to everyone who I’ve had the chance to meet at Talbot it has been an unforgettable experience and thank you to The Talent Tap for connecting me with Talbot Underwriting

From the 11 March, you will find our Financial Lines team at boxes 324A & 347, our Property team at boxes 320 & 329A and our Specialty team at box 324 (highlighted in aqua below). Back to school. Talbot has six volunteers starting The Switch Partners Programme next week at the Marion Richardson School with 10 Year 5 students. The aim of the programme is to help foster an appreciation of numbers and maths with school children in the Tower Hamlets borough and to open them up to the world of insurance. Talbot will be taking part from March through July and is the first Lloyd’s Managing Agent to take part since before the pandemic.
