As you know Talk Club is a charity. And every charity needs funds to operate. It's also World Suicide Prevention Day. So today we're launching #2HrsForTalkClub and asking supporters to donate 2 Hours of their salary to help support and build the Talk Club community. I am proud of my company Expleo who have issued 100 CSR days for employees to use. I used my day volunteering with Talk Club at Board Masters event. It was a great day, met some amazing individuals, and had some good conversations that gave some interesting insight into challenges across society. Speaking to festival security and the impacts on his staff doing 17 hr shifts and dealing with people in trouble mentally, through to an off duty Police women giving us a insight into the mental health issues of the forces across the UK. Also met a service man who had lost 5 friends to suicide and wasn’t aware of Talk Club and now is so will sign post others. All these conversations were deep, enlightening and more importantly they felt we gave them hope that through the support Talk Club provides it will go towards helping provide much needed support that clearing is not there today. Being there and witnessing the highs and the lows of these conversations really showed me the power of what Talk club provides. I felt very humbled by what people shared with me and us, and even more proud of being part of it for the day.
