On This Day The first ever edition of The Wall Street Journal was published on 8 July, 1889. To this day it remains one of the world’s most reputable business news publications. Interestingly, the Financial Times has been around for a very similar length of time, having first been published in 1888. This #NationalVolunteersWeek we would like to take a moment to highlight Tavistock’s James Verstringhe. James works across Tavistock’s property and financial services teams, but outside of work he also volunteers with the East of England Ambulance Service as a Community First Responder. Community First Responders are #volunteers trained and dispatched by UK ambulance services in their local communities. They provide essential support and reassurance in those crucial minutes before the ambulance crew arrives. This includes responding to patients suffering a life-threatening emergency such as a cardiac arrest, stroke or breathing problems. Tavistock is proud to offer each member of staff four additional days of annual leave for #volunteering – it’s a policy that helps our colleagues dedicate more time to causes they're passionate about👏 #communityfirstresponder #ambulanceservice
