Hosting panels is something I really enjoy, not only do I get to work with some incredibly talented and inspiring people but I always take something from them. I definitely learned a lot from the latest event I was fortunate to be a part of. The Burnt Brunch by The Burnt Chef Project sponsored by Talent Hive focused on nurturing the next generation and in particular Gen Z. Having two speakers who fall into that category meant we could find out what they really want from employers and what they want for themselves in terms of career and development. It sparked a really healthy debate among both the panellists and attendees which continued over lunch, and that was equally fantastic thanks to the team at Michelin-starred, Simpsons. 𝗗𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝘂𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗼𝗻𝗲? You're in luck! We're back in Birmingham in September, London in October and York in November. Burnout is a state of emotional, physical, and mental exhaustion caused by prolonged stress and overwork. It can stem from various sources, such as long hours, high-pressure environments, lack of support, or insufficient rest. 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗱, 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝗳 𝗶𝘁 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘀 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗲𝗹𝘀𝗲'𝘀. The full interview with Dubai Eye 103.8 available to view now. I talk about how, despite the growing need for The Burnt Chef Project's support in hospitality, we are lucky to be involved with one of the greatest professions in the world. It's a continuous challenge balancing the realities of the mental health issues we tackle in the hospitality profession whilst also promoting the incredible changes within, and benefits of working in, hospitality. ☯ I've got to say... I feel privileged to be able to do this daily on a global scale and truly believe we'll continue to see the improvements in recruitment and retention over coming years! Thank you to Dubai Eye 108.8 and the guests who wrote in and I'd like to leave on this one final note; thank you for the compliment! "Kris, you're an amazing speaker" 🙏 What are your thoughts? Are we turning the corner and is your excitement growing for the future of hospitality? or Do you believe we've still got a long way to go? 🌟 #hornosunox #saludmental #hosteleria #hornosprofesionales
