We’re calling on politicians to engage with young people ahead of the General Election 📢 Our new research shows young people are highly interested in and engaged with politics – and at the DofE we see all the time how engaged, positive, compassionate and hopeful for the future this generation is 💜 Despite this, only 40% say they’re likely to vote in the upcoming election, with 80% feeling that politicians listen to their age group the least. Thank you UK Power Networks 💜 They've raised an incredible amount of money which will support more young people to take part in a life-changing DofE programme.
⚡ To raise money for The Duke of Edinburgh's Award (DofE), over 300 UK Power Networks employees undertook a ramble of royal proportions. 🚶♂️ On what turned out to be a beautiful 20 mile walk from Richmond to Tower Bridge, our employees raised over £48,000 to help the DofE reach almost 800 marginalised young people to develop their skills and experiences in a truly life changing experience. 👏 Well done to all who participated in the inaugural UK Power Networks Royal Ramble. We can confirm that no participant caught the tube 🤣 #RoyalRamble
