Global comms agency powered by experts

About us

We’re the first virtual comms agency, powered by over 1,400 PR experts in over 60 countries around the world. We believe this also makes us the world’s most connected agency, with the sector expertise and geographic know-how to rise to any challenge or opportunity. Where other agencies are limited by scope of expertise or location, our ever-growing international network has no such issues. Since 2005 we’ve been redefining how PR works. There’s no one size fits all. Just carefully curated teams with the senior-level experience to deliver real results. Our client retention says it all – Zipcar (11 years), Toyota and Lexus (nine years), Dropbox (eight years), Workday and Western Digital (six years each). We’ve always believed business can be a force for good and were certified as a B Corp in June 2023. Cementing our belief in flexible working, gender parity and job shares, we’re proud to play our part in creating an inclusive, equitable and regenerative economy. We passionately support initiatives that matter to us, with a particular aim to amplify female empowerment and equality. Our co-founders were on the UK Women in PR Committee running the PRWeek / WiPR mentoring scheme. They are regularly invited to speak at industry conferences and panels about female equity, eg the PRCA’s 2023 Change for Good conference. In 2023 we became a corporate partner of CAMFED - giving girls an education in sub-Saharan Africa. Our donations to date have put 40 girls through high school. Beyond gender disparities, we're keen to address imbalance in our industry. We were launch partners for the One Percent / Taylor Bennett and Socially Mobile diversity initiatives, and George has been a mentor for People Like Us. 2024 PRWeek Top 100 UK Agency, #97, and Top 20 Technology PR Agency, #17 2024 & 2023 PRovoke Best Small Agencies to Work For (UK) 2024 Shortlisted for PRWeek Best Agency

As the 15th largest global economy, Mexico is *the* gateway to Latin America. With its vibrant and diverse culture, rich history, delicious culinary traditions, and rapid urban growth, Mexico has quickly become a destination hotspot for many ☀ 🌯 It is also home to one of the highest concentrations of media in the world, making it an incredibly attractive spot for businesses and investment. Want to learn more? Our associate, Deborah Jacob, shares her insights on the Mexican media landscape: 🇲🇽 Televisa and TV Azteca are the dominant TV channels. Radio also remains a significant medium, with radio stations including Radio Formula, Grupo Radio Centro, and W Radio leading the way in news and entertainment. Among newspapers, El Universal, Imagen, and El Financiero have the highest trust levels. 🇲🇽 In the current political and cultural landscape, there is a lot of distrust towards media outlets that align with specific political groups and a reduction in government advertising to non-aligned media. 🇲🇽 In the tech space, niche media outlets such as Computer World, Info Channel, and IT Sitio are key publications to be aware of. Influential figures like Pontón and Adrián Santos are important in this field and often share the latest gadget trends and tech news on YouTube and TikTok. 🇲🇽 Media consumption trends are shifting, with live TV viewership decreasing in favour of on-demand platforms like Netflix, YouTube, and Prime Video. For those aged 18-34, streaming ranges from 6 to 20 hours per week. Print media is increasingly moving to digital editions, and many are adopting paid subscriptions. 🇲🇽 When it comes to accessing news, television and social media are the primary sources in 2024, followed by news websites and radio. Printed newspapers are losing ground as digital media rises. Demographics show that Mexicans aged 45 and older watch the most TV, averaging over six hours daily, while those aged 18-34 are more focused on social networks. In fact, 70% are active on social media platforms, with Facebook leading the usage rate with 93.2%. 🇲🇽 The media industry continues to face challenges like staff and budget reductions, leading to overloaded newsrooms. Maintaining trust through accurate information continues to be crucial to combat fake news. For PR and comms professionals, exclusivity is highly valued by journalists, who prefer unique content over mass disclosure. Digital events have become more popular due to their convenience, though in-person experiences are still important in lifestyle segments. 🇲🇽 International brands interested in executing PR programmes in Mexico should focus on providing relevant, data-backed stories rather than commercial pitches. Building narratives with supporting data, opinion studies, and performance indicators are essential in securing coverage. Keen to talk about how PRN can help you make an impact in Mexico? We’ve been fortunate to have gained some new followers recently so we thought we’d use this opportunity to re-introduce ourselves. Hello! 👋 We’re The PR Network (‘PRN’ for short). Our story started back in 2005, when our founders, Georgina Blizzard and Nicky Regazzoni had the idea to create the world’s first virtual PR agency. 💡 Problem solvers at heart, they saw a gap in the market to create a network of senior PR consultants across the world, and match their expertise with brands who needed it. 🌍 Fast forward to today and we have a roster of over 1,400 PR experts and independent partners in 60 countries. All of whom bring their talents to bear for an equally diverse range of clients. 🧠 From taking over complex multi-market PR programmes, creating on-brief content and fixing weak links in tricky territories to bolstering current capabilities with sector or market expertise, we tackle comms challenges of all shapes and sizes. 🚀 Our agile approach allows us to create the very best team for each project – assembling the local, regional, international and sector expertise each campaign requires. What’s more, because we're fully virtual, we have low fixed overheads which allows us to work smarter and make budgets travel further. If you have a comms challenge you need solving or would like to learn more about our unique offering, please get in touch.

We're excited to share insights from the recently released Reuters Institute Digital News Report 2024 as Eileen Boydell highlighted last week. This comprehensive report provides a global perspective on how news consumption is evolving across different territories. Key takeaways: 📉 Trust in News: Trust in news remains a critical issue worldwide, with 59% of respondents expressing concern about the reliability of news sources. This figure rises to 72% in the US, highlighting the urgent need for independent journalism, especially as the presidential election approaches. 🤖 AI in Journalism: The impact of AI on journalism is multifaceted. While deep fakes have increased skepticism, AI is also being leveraged positively. For instance, Nordic publishers like Schibsted are using AI-generated summaries to boost engagement, and Mexico’s Radio Fórmula employs AI-generated news readers. 💡 Video Platforms: Video content continues to gain traction, particularly among younger audiences. An interesting case is the use of AI-generated images in social media campaigns by the new Indonesian president, which transformed his public image dramatically. 📣 Rise of Alternative Voices: Influencers and alternative news sources on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube are increasingly capturing public attention, while traditional journalists maintain a stronger presence on Facebook and X (formerly Twitter). 💸 Paying for News: The trend of paying for online news is growing slowly, with 17% of people across 20 wealthy nations having paid for online news in the past year. Norway (40%) and Sweden (31%) lead in this area, while Japan (9%) and the UK (8%) lag behind. This underscores the ongoing challenge for publishers to generate revenue. These highlights are just a glimpse of the valuable insights available in the full report. For those navigating international communications challenges, we offer expert support across 60 markets and beyond. Explore the full report (see comments) to understand more about these trends and how they might impact your communications strategy. #DigitalNews #Journalism #MediaTrends #AI #NewsIndustry #ReutersInstitute #TrustInNews #MediaInnovation

🌍 We're taking steps to better understand our environmental impact... At The PR Network, building and maintaining a sustainable business is crucial to us, and we're now tracking our environmental footprint more closely. As a Scope 3 business, we've had to think a little harder about how we do this. What's Scope 3? Scope 3 emissions include all the indirect emissions in our value chain, such as business travel, purchased goods and services, waste disposal, and - most importantly for us - our Associate Partners (APs). Essentially, it's all the emissions that occur because of our business activities but aren't directly under our control. What are we doing about it? We've worked with Furthr, our sustainability partner, to create a survey that we will (today) start sending out monthly to all our contracted APs. It takes a few minutes to complete, and will help us get a better understanding of our emissions, month on month, year on year. We're excited to work with our network to gather the data we need and develop ways to reduce our environmental impact. Learn more about our partnership with Furthr here: https://lnkd.in/d6Zrp-2d And check out what we're doing for the greater good here: https://lnkd.in/d3_ZRWnZ Are any other agencies doing the same? We'd love to hear how you're getting on! And if anyone needs guidance, feel free to get in touch. #Sustainability #EnvironmentalImpact #Scope3Emissions #GlobalPR #PRNetwork #SustainableBusiness

Great to see our client Yoti in the news talking about a government backed initiative to allow digital IDs to let people open bank accounts. Another great use case for digital IDs. Nice work Nikki Alvey

📌 The reputational fallout from a crisis is hard to measure. 📌 Too often organisations over-invest time and resources on business continuity planning and process, but fail to consider impact on reputation via damage to important relationships. This brilliant image is a graphic record by Caroline Chapple of Chapple Cartoons capturing our recent webinar with our risk and crisis management expert, Rod Cartwright, and our co-founder, Nicky Regazzoni. 💡 Rod talked us through the latest edition in his “Reputation, Risk and Resilience” series for 2024, published in May. We looked at the 10 primary global risks, from geopolitics to tech to climate and more - and importantly, how they intersect. ➡ Together we’re advising clients worldwide on how to ensure “Reputation as Usual” in the face of a difficult situation. Get in touch for details of our workshops and consultation options, and sleep better at night knowing you are better protected. You can send a private message to the PRN team via this page, or message Nicky Regazzoni or Georgina Blizzard for more details.

Our Ops Director Russ Read-Barrow attended PRmoment's AI conference yesterday. His thoughts...

View profile for Russ Read-Barrow, graphic

Operations Director | Responsible for Adaptive Operating Model

Yesterday, I (virtually) attended the PR Masterclasses event - hosted by PRmoment, focusing on AI in PR, and it was a good one. 24 hours (ish) on, the main things I’m thinking about… 1. All us agencies are experiencing a lot of the same challenges - from too many tools and too little time, to custom GPTs forgetting key info or making stuff up all together. It's reassuring to know we're not alone in facing these headaches. 2. Microsoft CoPilot is far more popular and respected among agencies than I expected. This is particularly interesting for us, as we operate within Google Workspace, and tend to rely on Chat GPT over Gemini right now. 3. Tools to explore and revisit: Structuredprompt.com, Waldo and Otter (I gave up on this one about 6 months ago) are now on (or back on) our radar. 4. AI shouldn't be a niche specialism; it should be integral to everyone's understanding in the agency - top to bottom. 5. Finally - we’re ahead of the game, or at least on a par with other agencies of a similar size. And whilst it was great to hear a lawyer's view from Luke English, maybe we benefit from not having one looking over our shoulder all the time! The journey with AI continues, and as a flexible, expert-driven PR agency, we're excited to see where it takes us. #GlobalPR #InternationalPR #PRAgencyNetwork #FlexiblePR #PROnDemand #PRExperts #VirtualPR #AI
