From apprentice to shift coordinator: in 2002, Nanthe, as he is called at our plant, starts his apprenticeship as an electronics technician for industrial engineering at thyssenkrupp in Duisburg. Over the years, he continues to train and develop - first he becomes a master electrician and finally a shift coordinator in one of our continuous casting plants. One of Nanthe's key factors for success at work? Teamwork! Because every day brings new tasks, maintenance and repairs. But: "We take all new employees by the hand and send them along with experienced colleagues", Nanthe says.

Jens Schulte, CFO of thyssenkrupp AG, provides valuable insights into the Q3 figures released yesterday, offering a clear perspective on the ongoing progress of #thyssenkrupp.
Today was my first time presenting our #quarterlyresults at thyssenkrupp. While much of the public focus these days is on our steel business, I want to take this opportunity to highlight some aspects of our results in challenging markets. Although revenue dropped by -9% compared to the same period last year, mainly due to weaker demand in the automotive, construction, and machinery sectors, we delivered a positive operational #result. Gross margin improved, CapEx is adequate, and we further strengthened our #APEX performance management pipeline. #Equity ratio remains solid at 39%, and we continue to maintain a net #cash position of approximately €3.2 billion (same as PY Q3). Moreover, our #transformation journey continues to advance. The recent sale of a 20% stake to EPCG marks a key milestone in establishing our #steel business as an independent entity. Many of our other businesses are working on #structuralimprovements and performance to enhance profitability and reinforce the foundation for a stronger thyssenkrupp. Thank you to the thyssenkrupp team for delivering results in an environment where public focus often overshadows the many positive achievements you contribute every day!
