They believe (and we agree!) gardening is a great way of bringing people of different ages, backgrounds and experiences together and provides an opportunity to forge relationships. Building a stronger, more connected community. They've used the funding from Toast to transform as tarmac area into a stunning community garden. Awesome news! Toast has been named as one of the 10 most sustainable beer brands by Green Matters and their readers. We’re super proud to have made the list, alongside some other incredible breweries - crafting delicious beer whilst having a positive impact on the planet. How are we raising the bar? 🍞 We brew using surplus bakery bread - turning leftover loaves into liquid gold ♻️ By using surplus bread, we’ve reduced demand for malted barley. This has freed up 71 acres of agricultural land 🌱 We’ve donated over £116k to charities and created heaps of positive impact ✅ We were the first UK brewery to become a certified B Corp with B Lab UK and are the highest scoring too! We're thrilled to announce the launch of our Rise Up Lager in selected Star Pubs across Bristol, London and Brighton. Here's to the team at Star Pubs and The HEINEKEN Company who've been such an incredible support in making this happen. We’ve been working with HEINEKEN since 2022 as a strategic investor, focussing on research and development, as part of their net zero ambitions. But this partnership isn't just about serving up awesome beer; it symbolises our commitment to a greener, brighter future. Collaboration has always been key to our strategy for achieving change, and we’re excited to be able to scale our work with this launch. Our Rise Up Lager will be also pouring from the world's first living tap. Adorned with lush, mossy greenery, giving off major garden vibes! As part of our Nature's Taking Over campaign - it's a reminder that nature is all around us, even when we're kicking back with a cold one in the city. Raise a pint, to lower your carbon footprint! 🌍🍺 🧐 With packaging the biggest proportion of our carbon footprint, we’ve done our homework to understand the emissions. Did you know choosing draught beer at the pub is the lowest carbon option? 💚 And if you’re drinking at home, our cans have a significantly lower footprint (than bottles) because of a number of factors: ♻️ Recycled aluminium content (of which there is a good quantity due to high recycling rates) requires less energy. 🚛 Aluminium is lighter so uses less fuel to transport (this is more significant the further the beer travels!) 🤏 Compact size of cans mean we need less packaging & storage space.
