✊Delighted to say that I have been awarded my PhD and it is official now! 🧨 🎊🎓 After three years of intense but fulfilling research, I successfully defended my thesis a few months ago. Thank you very much to Ben Cooper and Gisela Robles Aguilar for a challenging and enjoyable viva examination! 🦠 In the fight against antimicrobial-resistance I've been researching the #burden #mortality #costs #lengthofhospitalstay #ICUadmissions #interventions #costsavings #transmissions #bloodstreaminfections #OneHealth #Hospital #sociodemographics 💡 Happy to announce I submitted with:  - 4 peer-reviewed research papers published and another 2 now under review.  - Contributions and publication of several other articles (+10),  - Award for best poster LSHTM fair 2022, people award.  - Funding awarded through the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, a small grant for early-career researchers. - Early career researcher grant LSHTM, traveling grant. - International conferences, including ESCMID 2024, ASTMH 2022, iHEA 2021 - Award for top poster among bacterial diseases section, ESCMID - European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases 2024  - Several invited seminars to speak about my research - + others!   🙏 A huge thank you to my fantastic primary supervisor, Professor Laith Yakob, and secondary supervisors. We're proud to announced awards from the Grand Challenge of Mental Health & Wellbeing Pump Priming funding call 2024-25. “A huge number of excellent proposals were submitted to UCL’s Grand Challenge of Mental Health & Wellbeing Pump-Priming Funding Call 2024-25. We were delighted to be able to support seventeen cross-disciplinary applications from almost all UCL faculties. These represent a range of conceptual and applied projects using novel methods - from animal models to social interventions - including many that incorporate co-production approaches building upon partnerships with communities and organisations outside academia.
