Want to see VES in action? We were recently approached by M&E Contractor METS Ltd, to provide an alternative solution on a second phase of works at Bodmin Community Hospital. We utilised our longstanding relationship with the Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and METS Ltd to deliver a bespoke HTM03-01 compliant air handling unit (AHU) solution that exceeded expectations. Working in a live hospital environment posed challenges, but our dedicated Site Service Engineers successfully navigated the complexities. From delivering flatpacked equipment and lifting it through a narrow staircase to undertaking site acceptance testing and achieving L2 leakage testing standards, we ensured minimal disruption to the hospital and patients. Our tailored approach, from reviewing the plant space to coordinating the AHU layout, gave the client confidence in our ability to deliver. Within 10 weeks, we supplied and installed the AHU, with our team completing the build in just 1 week. The successful outcome led to an order for a second, larger unit at the same site just 3 months later. However, don't just take our word for it, hear what Vic Skinner, Project Director at METS Ltd had to say below... “We used VES following previous works at other NHS sites with the client and they were able to support the Design team on coordinating the AHU in the plantroom space. All works were conducted safely and in a timely manner, the client was pleased with works and instructed us to utilise VES again on the final phase of works with another AHU order."
