Today, team members took part in Hi-Vis Day in London, an event focused on boosting the visibility of security and policing in the city to ensure the safety of residents, workers, and visitors. This joint initiative involves the City of London Police, the City Security Council, and security organisations like Vigilant. The public were encouraged to interact with our Security Officers who were dressed in CSC-branded high-visibility jackets and vests, allowing them to ask questions and discuss strategies to decrease incidents of violence and theft in the city. #security #hivisday #collaboration #team #vigilantsecurity #police #london #safety

A police surgery was organised at Savills 30 Broadwick Street for tenants and the public to address any concerns they may have in the Soho area. The event, arranged by Site Manager Luke Gizzi, aimed to provide residents and business owners with a platform to share their worries, seek guidance, and strengthen ties with local law enforcement. Attendees engaged in conversations with officers in a relaxed setting. Luke Gizzi stressed the significance of community involvement, stating, "We are dedicated to creating a secure and connected neighbourhood. This surgery is part of our ongoing efforts to ensure that everyone feels heard and supported." Cycle to Work Day returns on Thursday, August 1st, 2024! Whether you're a novice cyclist, returning after a break, or a daily rider, Cycle to Work Day welcomes everyone. It's an opportunity to hop on your bike and personally experience the incredible benefits that regular cycling brings – physically, mentally, and financially. As a company, we endorse cycling to work and offer the Cycle2Work scheme to all our staff. Since introducing the scheme in 2019, we have assisted numerous employees in making a healthier choice by biking to work. We strongly believe in the physical and mental well-being advantages of regular exercise. Last night our teams from Vigilant Security and PROception FOH, along with our client Derwent London, we took part in the Dragon Boat race in aid of Cosmic Charity. Cosmic supports the children’s and neonatal intensive care units at St Mary’s & Queen Charlotte’s Hospital by helping patients and their families, and by enabling their dedicated team of nurses and doctors to treat hundreds of babies and children in intensive care. The charity goes above and beyond what the NHS can’t afford purchasing vital state of the art equipment, providing training for health professionals, funding a programme of groundbreaking research into life-threatening diseases and supporting families through one of the most difficult times in their life with one to one support, advice, counselling, accommodation for parents. Great to see a contingent of Vigilant female staff members attending the first session in support of The Walk, Talk and Do programme launched by the Metropolitan Police. This initiative enables women and girls to share their experiences, concerns and collaborate with officers on solutions to keep women safe in public spaces. This month, the Control Room team at St James Quarter completed the NPSA training course successfully. Our Duty Managers have also finished the manager’s course, focusing on the Security Control Room’s performance and initial response procedures for a potential terrorist incident. The course provided a multitude of resources and exercises which put our operatives in the best position to respond and react to terrorist incidents. During the immersive exercises in the course, our Control Room operators were able to practice detecting attacks, making decisions, giving announcements, commanding and controlling an incident, and providing post-incident first aid. #NPSAtraining #StJamesQuarter #VigilantSecurity

On Wednesday, Vigilant and PROception staff teamed up with The Metropolitan Police on a Walk, Talk, and Do initiative to address VAWG incidents in the night-time economy, specifically focusing on Oxford Street and Mayfair. As part of this joint effort, female staff members engaged in discussions with the police to tackle safety issues in the patrol areas. During the operation, Safe Havens were evaluated in preparation for the Op Vigilant deployment on Friday night. The staff received instructions on guiding individuals when necessary, highlighting a collective commitment to safety through cooperation and proactive actions. #CommunitySafety #SaferLondon #MetropolitanPolice
