🧠 At last month's Brainy Bar, we dove into the fascinating role of negative emotions in branding (among other things)! One of our speakers Dr Dean Burnett explored why embracing these emotions, in the right context, can strengthen your brand's connection with its audience. 🧠 Do emotions ever spill into the physical? What does this mean for brand marketing? Those were just a few of the questions we answered at last month's Brainy Bar with the help of Dr Dean Burnett and other leading neuro-marketing minds. 💡 👇👇 Be the first on the list for our future events by signing up below. https://hubs.ly/Q02KWlMf0

🍫 In 2024, Cadbury Dairy Milk is celebrating its 200th birthday. But how could packaging be used to support the broader comms campaign for the Mondelēz International brand? Two limited-edition design concepts were developed, each drawing on the heritage of the brand. We tested both using Walnut Unlimited's proprietary Agile PACKMASTER tool. See what we found. https://hubs.ly/Q02KxNLg0

💬 If we can leave this event knowing something about emotions, it’s that our brains are much more designed to feel, than to think. 💬 This year’s sold-out Brainy Bar event taught us all a thing or two about emotions. Get a taste of the night with our Board Director and host Cristina de Balanzo, Ph.D. 🧠 👇👇Make sure you’re first on the list for our future events by signing up below. https://hubs.ly/Q02J_yB90

An incredibly worthwhile cause. Find out more about how you can engage with The Little Princess Trust below. https://lnkd.in/d2WMfHV
Sometimes in life we stumble on something profound and it changes us. This happened to me. I heard the story of a child who, at the age of 4, was diagnosed with leukemia. It was an intensely harrowing and painful story. The child described his confusion as he didn’t understand what cancer was except it was very bad. He described how he used to hide when it was time to go for his chemotherapy. He talked about his suffering at losing his friends and how he faced ridicule from other children at losing his hair. What a tragedy for this child and for his parents. Unfortunately, and very sadly, he is not alone. Each year, over 3900 children and young adults are diagnosed with cancer, of which more than 750 are 4 years old or younger according to NHS Digital (2021). As a mother, I cannot even begin to imagine how tormented their lives must be. What could I do that would make a difference, even a small difference, to the life of one child? I donated my hair to The Little Princess Trust so they could use it to make wigs for children who lose their hair whilst undergoing chemotherapy as part of their cancer treatment. I confess I was worried about how I would look. Short hair makes my face look gaunt and sick. Then I realised the irony of this. I would see firsthand what this 4-year-old child would have seen in the mirror every day. My husband pointed out that what mattered was my human understanding and compassion, not my curly locks. In his words, “You have beautiful thick hair, just grow it and give it to someone.” Last week, I donated 8 inches of my hair to The Little Princess Trust. This week I shared this and why with all my lovely colleagues at Walnut Unlimited. Staying true to why human understanding is fundamental to our world and not just our professional lives, the company recognised that this is a really worthwhile and inclusive cause. Anyone of any age, any gender, and any ability can donate their hair as long as its 7 inches long and in good condition. So, if you are interested in finding out more, message me here and I'd love to chat to you about it. #LittlePrincessTrust #HumanUnderstanding
