Last night we had the pleasure of co-hosting a Women in Tech event around AI & Leadership in partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and their Cloud Women community. Those in attendance were treated to Keynotes from our Global CIO Janet Robertson and Chief Data Officer Miriam Vizvary, before Peter Morgan's session "All About AI" and Leila Singh's on "Leadership & Career Development". The event closed with a panel discussion led by Menaka S. with Lisa Woodall, Fiona Llewellyn, Claudia Avila, Martin Price around the challenges in attracting, developing and retaining female talent in technology. It was an incredible evening full of great conversations, networking and discussions. Thank you to everybody who attended and participated both in-person and virtually. #WomenInTech #AI #AWS #WeAreRS

In celebration of National Foodbank Day, we’d like to give a big shoutout to those at RS Integrated Supply for their unwavering support of their local food bank in Warrington, UK. Since 2017, every Christmas, our colleagues at RS Integrated Supply have made it a tradition to deliver their largest donation of the year. In the photos below, you can see many of the team who helped collect and transport last year’s Christmas contributions. 🚛 🙌 Reflecting on their support for the Warrington food bank, RS Integrated Supply shared, "It makes a huge difference to families in our local community impacted by the cost-of-living crisis." Emma Botfield is our VP of Strategy Delivery & Execution and has been with the business for over decade. We caught up with her to discuss her time at RS so far and to find out more about her role. Q1. Hi Emma, what does a typical day look like for you? Emma: "My day always begins at 6am with a 4-5 mile walk. Come rain or shine this routine really helps to clear my head and set me up for the day. I am disciplined with my time, so also ensure that I build reflection time into my diary and prep time for meetings. "Every day will consist of various meetings, whether that is Ambition Exchanges with my team or working on the Process Harmonisation Roadmap to help us to move to Operational and Process Excellence. A lot of my day is spent listening and understanding the 'blockers and barriers' and how we can remove them more quickly to enable the execution of our strategy." Q2. What is your favourite thing about working at RS? Emma: "People, people, people. My colleagues are just the best, an ear to listen to and share problems to find solutions, a chat and understand their world and everyone wants to help and support and are so proud of our business." Q3. And do you have any stand out memories of your 10 years with RS? Emma: "Now that is hard, as there are so many. Leading the UK&I and owning the UK&I Conference has to be up there. It was a key opportunity to ensure everyone understood their role in delivering our strategy, how important every role is within our organisation and then celebrating success with the RS Making Amazing Happen Awards." #RSLife #OurPeople #Strategy #WeAreRS

Taking the leap for a great cause—skydiving to make a difference! ✈️ 👏 Laura shared, "When I signed up to skydive, I felt a mix of excitement and nerves. I'd always wanted to confront my fears by jumping out of a plane, but the idea still seemed a bit daunting." She continued, "After months of promoting my Just Giving page, I was thrilled to raise £700 for The Washing Machine Project by the time the jump day arrived. The incredible support from friends, family, and colleagues really helped calm my nerves." Reflecting on the experience, Laura said, "Landing back on solid ground, I felt an immense sense of accomplishment and relief. Not only had I faced one of my greatest fears, but I'd also raised funds for a fantastic cause and experienced something unforgettable. I'm proud to have contributed to TWMP and grateful for the support that made this journey possible." Well done Laura! 🙌 #OurPeople #MakingAmazingHappen #ForABetterWorld #DoTheRightThing #TWMP
