World Eye Cancer Hope USA is deeply saddened to share the passing of our beloved Board of Directors member Lisa Hester. Lisa’s son Elijah is a #BilateralRetinoblastoma survivor, and Lisa and the entire Hester family have been active members of the #WECHope community since the 2017 One #Retinoblastoma World conference. Lisa’s light and passion for improving the retinoblastoma community have been felt across the country through her attendance at many regional events, including all six of the Southern California Family Days. The Hester family most recently spent three days with us in Washington D.C. in March 2023 spreading kindness and compassion for the 90 guests we hosted. Lisa is survived by her husband Ben, son Elijah and seven additional children.
