How is Hurricane #Beryl shaking up the #supplychain? Our Early Detection model has found (from June 23-July 7): - 146% increase in port calls in Trinidad and Tobago by all vessels - 666% increase in drifting activities in Haiti by all vessels - 30% decrease in port calls by all vessels in Jamaica - 16% decrease in port calls by cargo vessels and tankers in the port of Houston Windward’s insights show that vessels may have arrived at Trinidad and Tobago, and Haiti to avoid the hurricane, while Jamaica saw a decrease. Windward added an exception alert to our Ocean Freight Visibility solution, Port of Destination Change, to help customers navigate their shipments during extreme climate events and natural disasters such as this one. Our customers can quickly devise an alternate route, inform stakeholders, and continue the supply chain cycle with confidence and efficiency. With early notifications and the ability to make quick alterations, our customers can handle changing situations smoothly and efficiently.
