We’re excited to announce that we are now a Registered Building Control Approver (RBCA), which enables us to maintain our current projects while taking on new commissions across all sectors. To accommodate this growth, we’re actively expanding our team by welcoming new surveyors, with plans to significantly increase our size over the next three months. Our Registered Building Inspectors, certified from Class 2 to Class 4 Technical Managers, are ready to support new instructions across all sectors. There is also opportunity to lead on quality and compliance for those with previous experience in this area. Countrylarge proposed this scheme back in 2022, which will be located above the Oliver Bonas store, and construction is now underway by Headoffice3. Our team is proud to be appointed to this project, where we will be delivering the Building Control, alongside our sister company delivering the SAP/EPC, SBEM/EPC, and Water Calculations. Leeds CPD Event Recap: Highlights and Key Insights Joe delivered an engaging session on Psi Values and the Future Homes Standard. Key Points from Joe's Psi Values Discussion: ➡️Proving Compliance with Psi Values: Joe explained the critical role of accurately calculated Psi Values in proving compliance with building standards. ➡️New Building Regulations: With the new building regulations, it is now unlikely to pass using default values anymore. Joe emphasised the importance and effectiveness of having Psi Values calculated, specifically for your build. ➡️Benefits of Calculating Psi Values: As Joe said, "If you come to us and we can get those calculated, you are going to be saving yourself essentially time and money by not having to over insulate a wall or insulate a roof just because of how much better the Psi Value could be." ➡️Calculation Process: To calculate the Psi Value, we create a 2D/3D model of the junction and then insert the thermal conductivity each of the fabric conductivities. The software then calculates the Psi and fRsi Value, a process similar to calculating a U-value, which more people are familiar with.
