We need to build a world where every young person has someone to turn to when they need help.
About us
We are the UK’s leading mental health charity for young people. We want to see a world where no young person feels alone with their mental health, and all young people get the mental health support they need, when they need it, no matter what.

We are appalled and angered by the violence unfolding on our streets at the hands of far right groups. No one should have to live in fear of being attacked for following their daily routine, practicing their faith, or simply existing. For thousands of young people the threat of this violence is very real and cannot continue. One thing you’ll see less of in the media are the many people coming together in solidarity and supporting each other, despite feeling scared, angered and even unsafe. In darkness hope shines brightest. And a community bonded by hope will always thrive over a community bonded by hatred. The amount of people who care in this country far outweigh those who don’t. Hate will never win.

Every young person should have people they can turn to when they are going through a hard time. If you work with young people this activity can help you open up conversations about the other adults in a young person's life and consider who else might be able to offer support. Talk through the benefits that may come from reaching out, and let the young person share the risks/fears they have. This will help you have a better understanding of the young person's situation and feelings.

We are horrified by the attacks in Southport and the tragic deaths of Alice Dasilva Aguiar, Bebe King, and Elsie Dot Stancombe. Our thoughts are with the families, friends and communities impacted. We can’t allow the violent and racist protests that followed overshadow what has happened. In this moment of shock and horror, we must come together.
