We're hiring! ZPN Energy is looking for an Electrical/Mechanical Engineer with EV charging, DC battery and battery energy storage (BESS) experience to join our team. This role is based in Coventry at our state-of-the-art factory. Key skills include project management, electrical and mechanical skills across EVs, charging, BESS, installation and component design, PLC system integration, and EV skills including OCPP 2.0.1. We came to the rescue of a British Gas engineer today. The driver, with a desperately low SOC (State Of Charge), turned up at a Smartcharge Ltd station in Sainsbury's Fosse Park in Leicester, only to find that the payment system on the Kempower EV chargers was down. With not enough charge to make it to another EV charging station, the service schedule and British Gas customers, could have been severely disrupted. ZAPME was able to fully charge the British Gas van FASTER than the Kempower charger!
