    My project was titled 'Characterisation of extracellular vesicles released by HPV+ and HPV- oropharyngeal carcinoma cells in vitro'. As a member of the first dedicated EV research team in Sheffield I was responsible for optimising a number of standard protocols for isolating and characterizing EVs as well as teaching these methods to partnering groups and new students. As a member of the first dedicated EV research team in Sheffield I was responsible for optimising a number of standard protocols for isolating and characterizing EVs as well as teaching these methods to partnering groups and new students. The project yielded results for two papers centring on RNA sequencing data and mass spectrometry data with additional project data including EV characterization by TRPS, and several functional assays such as tubule formation and fibroblast α-SMA assays.
