    From 1998 - 2018 I progressed from Marketing Co-ordinator, and Assistant Marketing Manager, to Group Sales Marketing Manager for the last 13 years.

    My role and responsibilities included:

    Management and implementation of a range of marketing activities for all Manufacturer Franchises.

    Reporting directly to the Managing Director on a regular basis to ensure targeted marketing activity was in line with core business objectives.

    Overseeing a team of 3 members of staff in advertising and PR.

    Working closely with an external full service advertising agency, various media companies and suppliers.

    Cost control and media negotiation to ensure cost effective advertising in line with agreed budgets.

    Main contact with various Manufacturers, attending quarterly sales forums and conferences, ensuring that the sales and brand objectives of each Manufacturer were being met at dealer level.

    Preparation of quarterly manufacturer marketing planners in line with business objectives and Manufacturer standards, activity and spend requirements.

    Preparation of creative briefs and delivery to external advertising agencies and suppliers for various channels, including press and magazine, radio, TV, direct mail, digital, outdoor, events, and product placements.

    Planning and delivery of press releases with PR Officer.

    Organisation of new dealership launches, open days and sales events.

    Preparation of annual marketing budgets, quarterly advertising schedules, and monthly spend Excel reports.

    Working closely with the sales departments to achieve monthly and quarterly sales objectives, and models sold, so that sales performance could be analysed in line with tactical offers advertised.
