I worked with Skateistan (http://skateistan.org/) to create a submission for the development of a state of the art centre in New Doornfontein, in the CBD of Johannesburg.

    Myself and a team of 5 colleagues from across LinkedIn Australia collaborated as a team in the APAC wide Culture of Perpetual Learning initiative. Each team chose an area they wanted to up skill and better themselves in, and competed on a learning ladder basis. Our team chose coaching as our skill, creating a platform which impacted ourselves, the company and the world. We won the overall competition and were given a chance to travel to Singapore and meet Fred Kofman, LinkedIn's VP of Learning…

    I was selected as one of 16 students from the University of Technology, Sydney to attend a leadership forum in Singapore, facilitated by Linkage. This forum consisted of intensive leadership development sessions, networking activities, learning a greater understanding of Australia's position in Asia and building a greater knowledge of cultural differences.

    Following my attendance at this international conference in 2010 as a delegate, I was selected to return as a group leader in 2011. Throughout this time, I was not only responsible for ensuring group collaboration and facilitation, I was also asked to run a Q&A session with a key note speaker and assist as an MC throughout the conference.

    I was awarded a travel grant from the University of Technology, Sydney to assist in attending this conference.

    This included sponsorship from the Sheikh of Higher Education in the UAE and I was also awarded a travel grant from the University of Technology, Sydney to attend this conference.

    I was selected as one of 10 delegates from the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS) to attend the University Scholars Leadership Symposium in Malaysia - an international humanitarian affairs conference held annually, which brings like minded young future leaders together for a week of inspirational workshops and community service. As part of this, I was also awarded a $2,000 grant from UTS.
