    In the context of the worsening economic situation of Venezuela and increasing numbers of people finding it hard to make ends meet, I realised that between economic capital (in terms of my start-up's revenues) and human capital (in terms of our team-members) , we had potential to make a real, all be it small improvement in the day to day lives of people in need.

    In the context of the worsening economic situation of Venezuela and increasing numbers of people finding it hard to make ends meet, I realised that between economic capital (in terms of my start-up's revenues) and human capital (in terms of our team-members) , we had potential to make a real, all be it small improvement in the day to day lives of people in need.

    I started a monthly initiative in which Valatam made donations to a charity of our team-members choosing, and encouraged our employees to volunteer at that charity for just one day every month.

    So far we have made soup kitchen's for homeless people in the centre of Caracas and also organised 'fun days' for children in the barrios around Caracas, in which they are taught fun and educational games, and given small gifts and food.
