About

Napier Meridian. Value-driven Intervention consultancy in strategy development, innovation and stakeholder management. Our principal verticals (there are others) are Critical Minerals, Space, and Cybersecurity - singly, in combination, or all together. Each of these, and all working together in different ways, are intrinsic to many economic aspirations, and can be summed up at global scale.

There are challenges everywhere. To do with retention of 'enterprise value' and coping with change, or hopefully taking advantage of it. But The Change is accelerating. The New Great Game for critical minerals supplying low-carbon industries and the pending disasters in ESG that this will bring. Diversification of supply chains to ensure equitable opportunity for everyone as we all head towards our obligations of Paris 2050.

The value of the space domain, as the key attributes of Persistence and Ubiquity in earth observation capacities are nearly with us; but can only be fully capitalised if user communities understand the Opportunity of New Space.

A hyper-connected world, but made vulnerable by those very same connections. Artificial Intelligence bringing benefits, but also bringing risks. The potential behind distributed ledger technologies to verify complex supply chains. Supply chains that include those for critical minerals.

An increasingly unstable world that presents both new and also novel threats - who thought in 2020 that gas bubbles would now be rising to the surface of the Baltic Sea? A financial world in which verifiable ESG performance, or even just an expectation of decent corporate conduct, will be the slings and arrows wielded by the Investor Community when boardrooms don't quite 'get the point'. The quantifiable achievement of Just Transition.

And that quiescent asset that has so much unrealised human and economic value, and that is that of women having their right place in science & technology, and the workplace.

The tempo of The Change is quickening. Old, ponderous and unreactive enterprises, whether government, industrial or financial, will lose value and / or fall by the wayside; and the vacuum created will herald in fast paced and value-focused substitutes, and that value is just not financial in nature.

Do not fear your adversaries, of whatever nature, in this New Order of Things*; on the path there will be uncertainties for everyone, but Napier Meridian understands more than most how to navigate them.

Napier Meridian is an independent strategy improvement consultancy, that focuses on delivering concepts for disruptive national-level capability development. Established in 2005, and having its origins in security policy work with HMG, Napier Meridian has since assisted an ever widening government and commercial blue chip client base develop Vision, Strategy, Propositions, and integrated Stakeholder Management / Communications Plans relating to new growth objectives.

Napier Meridian helps its clients introduce disruptive offerings and reduce risks of entry of new concepts and associated markets. It does this through rapid focus on core enablers including strategy, innovation, benefit realisation, risk management, access to finance, and identification of critical success factors. Napier Meridian's offerings are now firmly placed in a number of economic growth areas, such as extractives, cyber security, public safety, and space,, all at government level.

Napier Meridian's key contribution to clients is in the early stages of a business transformation programme, analysing the interaction of political, economic, social and technological key drivers. A combination of these create the demand for business process led solutions, rather than initiatives that are driven by incoherent assumptions and the presumed (and often miscalculated) benefits of traditional ICT-centred or technology-biased solutions.
