Following some work together I was invited to become a Trustee Board Member of Castle Point Association of Voluntary Services (CAVS). During my time as a Trustee, I helped to develop strategy, maintain vision, contribute employment expertise, ensure compliance, advise on their re-brand, and provide ideas for fundraising events and initiatives. Changing Pathways (formerly Basildon Women's Aid) supports those affected by domestic abuse and stalking in Essex. Having learnt about their vital community services I organise regular collections of clothes, consumer goods and hygiene products. In addition, ECS fund Easter egg and Christmas toy deliveries to children of parents utilising their refuge/safe accommodation. I have twice been a member of the panel of judges for Essex County Council's annual 'Who Will Care? Awards'. The prestigious events celebrate volunteering across the county and bring together communities and individuals who are working to make Essex a great place to live, work and visit. As part of my commitment, I also agreed to present alongside compère and BBC broadcaster Dave Monk, and provide event sponsorship.

The process involves visiting the shortlisted applicants' premises and is a great way for local businesses to showcase their achievements and gain recognition in the area. I contribute to 'Preparation for the Work Place' Programmes that are hosted by Anglia Ruskin University. The sessions allow students to understand how to access the job market and identify the skills required to make successful applications. Time is also dedicated to CV writing best practices, mock interviews and a feedback and awards ceremony which is held at the end of the day.

I deliver career workshops to Business Study students at USP's Thundersley campus. The sessions include interview advice and job preparedness and I also present an introduction to the benefits, challenges and variety of careers in the UK recruitment sector.

I provide time for year 10 & 11 students to take part in short format mock interviews, careers advice and feedback sessions.
