What are the current trends and challenges in innovation learning and education?
There is a role for virtual, hybrid and in-person (meat) models: hybrid enables much wider groups from different geographical locations to get involved and work together, leveraging the collective intelligence of a more diverse and broad community in a multi channel environment which allows everyone to participate in their own way. In-person innovation speaks to our human need to get together in small groups and spark ideas off each other, allowing groups to bond. Hybrid in some ways has the worse elements of both: excluding those online while distracting those in the room. Maybe moving to metaverse/ virtual environments will help to leverage the benefits of both with fewer downsides.

What are the current trends and challenges in innovation learning and education?
Behavioural and cultural challenges are the most frequent - and yet most intractable - barriers to effective organisational innovation and prevents innovation from becoming diffused and adopted by the majority. Innovation learning and education needs to focus more on people than on creating perfect processes - we need to emphasise diversity and inclusion as core innovation skillets, as well as building collaboration as a recognised and rewarded skillset in its own right. Collaborating with lots of different people is hard and needs a lot of emotional intelligence and resilience as well as tools and communication.
