About

I own and run an award winning science writing company specialising in writing copy for the biotech, life sciences and pharma industries. My company produces press releases, articles, brochures, newsletters and video/podcast scripts for international firms including Lonza, Sartorius, Syngene, and Synbiosis. My company also writes tweets and discussion pieces for Linked-In, as well as advises on social media campaigns.

I also write regularly for GEN as their European Correspondent and occasionally for Nature Biotechnology and Bioprocess International covering topics such as protein and DNA based therapeutics, bioprocess and automated drug discovery systems.

Before becoming a writer, I attained a Ph.D. in molecular biology and then worked for 10 years in PR positions with two global scientific communications agencies and in marcoms roles with life science firms, Stratagene and Pharmacia Biotech. During my 25-year communications career, I have written over 400 press releases and more than 100 articles for many different biotech and life science companies, providing me with an excellent insight into these industries.

Specialties: Writing press releases, brochures, advertising, social media copy and annual reports, as well as articles for both peer reviewed and non-peer reviewed science journals.
